Read alouds that can incorporate different yoga poses that the class can do together(note that almost any childhood book can be adapted to fun yoga poses, breathing techniques, and movements; be creative and allow students to invent their own poses!)

  3. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie– learn poses of mouse and snake 

  4. Duck on a Bike– animal poses and kids relate to learning how to ride a bike

  6. I Want my Hat Back– bear and other animal poses 

  7. Mouse Count– introducing the concept as quiet as a mouse for svasana

  8. Rumble in the Jungle

  9. The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything– fall theme 

  10. My Many Colored Days– feelings themed – younger and older children as well; introduce children to open up and talk about their feelings in a safe community

  13. Commotion in the Ocean– different ocean animals.  Works well with an ocean theme unit or workshop

  14. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom–  Works well in teaching younger children the alphabet and introducing tree pose to maintain stability, focus, and reinforce self-confidence
